How to: No Cake Face

Hi everyone, I just created this profile so that I can blog and share some beauty advice and learn from others as well. Well I have decided for my first post to give everyone ideas on how to not have a "cakey face" after applying your make-up. This is a big concern of mine since I have oily skin and I am sure others of you out there are in the same boat. The first step is to apply primer to your face. This will make the surface of your skin smoother before you apply your foundation. Which then brings me to two, apply foundation. My biggest problem in the past is that I applied too much foundation. Really when you are applying you should just be covering your skin lightly with the foundation. If you are worried about blemishes, then you can apply concealer to those areas afterward. Third, you can apply a powder. However do not apply it all over your face (this has also been my problem in the past) instead just apply the powder to the areas of your skin that tend to get more oily (forehead, nose, chin also referenced as your T-Zone area). Fourth and lastly spray a light mist setting spray over your make-up to hold everything in place. For more ideas I would definitely visit http://www.makeupgeek.com/makeup-basics/how-to-avoid-a-cakey-face/ I also am very interested in any of your ideas as well. Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!
