Ombre is a very popular trend right now, so I decided to practice my technique on my mannequin. For those of you wondering how to do an ombre on yourself or others, I will explain what I did here. While there are numerous ways to complete this technique, I chose the three pony tail technique. First you section the hair on the very top of the crown of the head and section a rubber band making a very high pony tail. Second you make a second pony tail in the middle of the head. Third you make a low pony tail in the nape of the neck area. After you have your three pony tails, you then tease each pony tail. After teasing, apply lightener to the remainder of the hair that has not been teased. In this case I used Joico's creme lightener and 20volume as pictured. You can then let it process with solely lightener if you wish for 20-30 minutes or in my case after lightening I applied 6RR afterwards and let it process for 35 minutes. Hope this helps!
