As I posted previously, I am entering the Beacon competition for cosmetology students and this competition requires three images of your work. As you may know, my marketing theme was easy updo's the client (you) can recreate at home. Here are the three I have chosen along with the steps to create this hairstyle. Again, I will be posting video tutorials for each of these looks soon! As always thanks for reading and thank you for any feedback as well.
1. Curl the hair.
2. Pull hair back into a lose, low pony tail.
3. Twist hair underneath the pony tail, leaving the layers out and pinning the hair at the nape of the neck.
4. Pull gently on the layers to pull out and cover to hide the pony tail.
5. Add a hair piece or leave as is.
Chic Chignon Steps:
1. Tease the crown of the head and leave out the bangs or face framing and clip aside for later use.
2. Divide the hair in half as if to have the half up half down style, but take the left side and bobby pin in the back, then take the right and bobby pin in the back creating the snooky looking bump.
3. Grab all of the hair and pull it into a pony tail.
4. Roll the pony tail upward then pin to the back of the head.
5. Take the bangs and roll them tightly and pin it.
6. Loop the remainder of hair in the back creating loops or whatever style you like.
7. Add a pretty hair piece to the hair.
Romantic Updo Steps:
1. Curl all of the hair but leave a small section of bangs or face framing and set aside for later
2. Tease the crown.
3. Begin by pinning small sections of hair, pulling toward one side below the ear.
4. Continue pinning the curls until all strands have been placed creating that lose messy updo look.
5. Take a small curling iron and curl the bangs and face framing and pull back over and behind the head. Pin them or leave them to hang romantically over the hair.
6. Attach a beautiful hair piece of your choice.
